Kaki Warner Review Up at AAR

The review for Kaki Warner's Heartbreak Creek has been posted at AAR.  I was so pleased to see that the beginning of her new series is just as powerful as the books in her Blood Rose trilogy.  She's definitely an author to watch and for me an automatic buy now.

Current Review Reading

I've sailed through Making Waves by Tawna Fenske and finished Where Demons Fear to Tread by Stephanie Chong, both of which I'm reviewing for Booklist.  I've written the Making Waves review and am honing it, so tomorrow I'll write the first draft of the review for Where Demons Fear to Tread.

I'll also start reading Archangel's Blade by Nalini Singh, the last of the review books I received on Saturday.  I should be able to send in all the reviews by Friday, July 1.

Too Tight-lipped to Love

On Tuesday, June 28, my review of Linda Lael Miller's Creed's Honor goes up on AAR.

Also on AAR, my blog article about romance in computer games like the Dream Day series.  Take a look!

Too Defiant

Today at AAR, my review of Jessica Trapp's Defiant which I find just a little too historically accurate.  How can that be?  Click on the title of the book and read all about it.

Today at AAR

My review of Liz Fielding's Tempted by Trouble ran.  I currently have no review books to read and am waiting to get more.

Unfortunately, I've lost my Kindle recharger and had to order a new one from Amazon, so I'm forced to read (gasp!) paper books.  Now I'm just hoping that they aren't missing pages--the biggest drawback of tree-based books.

Back in the Saddle

After a couple of weeks off because of a death in the family, I'm back reviewing Linda Lael Miller's Creed's Honor and Kaki Warner's Heartbreak Creek for AAR.  I'll turn in the reviews by Monday.

Warner seems to be getting better and better as a writer.  Her new Runaway Brides series looks to be just as exciting as her initial Blood Rose series.  My favorite of those was the middle book, Open Country, which was just quirky and well written enough to stand out.  I reviewed the last book, Chasing the Sun, for AAR.

At any rate, Kaki Warner is definitely going to go on my must-buy list from now on.

Ready to Write Reviews

So I just finished reading The Sinner Who Seduced Me by Stefanie Sloan, Justice by Karen Robards, and How to Seduce a Scoundrel by Vicky Dreiling for Booklist.  Only one of them is above average, the other two just so-so.  Now to write the reviews and email them to my editor.

I'm in the middle of Tempted by Trouble by Liz Fielding for AAR.  So far better than average, but the jury is still out.  We'll see how it turns out.
