Graffiti, Wall Art, and Me

A while ago, I put a short story of mine, A Kiss in Time, on Amazon for sale.  The story revolves around a graffiti artist who wants to transition to a public wall artist, but doesn't have access to a wall.

Yesterday I ran across an interview on Twisted Sifter with SRIL, who has completed a huge mural in Salt Lake City.  This is the kind of wall Eric, the story's protagonist, would love to have as a canvas.

Eric isn't an ordinary run-of-the-mill tagger, however.  He's also a fan of parkour and uses walls not only to practice his parkour flips but also to add foot art to walls one step at a time.  In fact, he builds a footprint rainbow on the wall of the loft he and a police officer share.

Public murals have fascinated me for years, in particular hyper-realistic and trompe-l'œil ones.  Consequently, I really enjoyed the interview with SRIL as well as the photos of his newest wall.

Other muralists to check out: Adnate, MTO, and ETAM CRU.

Enjoy!

A Kiss in Time, Short Story Available on Amazon

Yes, it's true. It's taken me a little under forever--or about six or eight months--to get my gay romance short story, A Kiss in Time, formatted and posted with a cover image onto Amazon.

If you like parkour, graffiti, murals, artists, kisses in busy hallways, gruff but kindly bartenders, and undercover cops, then this is the story for you. It's also got its share of hugs, dreams of public art, and beating up on the bad guy.

It's short. It's sweet. And it's available now.

Buy it only on Amazon using this link.
