I Was in a Stagecoach Robbery!
It's true. When we visited Columbia State Park in Columbia, California, we paid to ride on a stagecoach. As we progressed out of town....well, wait a minute! I tell this story on the Love Bytes blog today. Why retell it here?
I also include a photo of the stagecoach as well as one of the robber so you can identify him quickly too.
The historic town of Columbia is in the same area of the foothills as the Foothills Pride series. And the Columbia City Hotel is somewhat like the Bandy Hotel in Relative Best. You could call City Hotel the seedling of the Bandy.

And Thank You to These Wonderful Reviewers Too!
Here's the second half of the reviews I promised in my last blog post. Thank you so much to all the reviewers who took the time to read and respond to When Adam Fell. I can never convey how much your time and consideration mean to me.
Pat Henshaw can pull me through a story like no
other. When Adam Fell is the fourth book in her Foothills Pride series and is
just as interesting as the others.
Molly
Lolly: 4/5
I loved that we get to see Adam’s story. He was intriguing
when we saw him in previous books with his quirky mountain bistro that’s only
open seasonally. But I so didn’t expect what we got. It was heartwarming to see
this second time around story go so well.
The story is just enough to get your teeth into it
and connect with the characters. I love these Foothills Pride novellas. I want
more of them so we can see how the town evolves and develops and so all of my
favorite characters can get their happily ever afters. The one I want the most
next is John’s story. He’s intriguing with how tight lipped about his private
life he is.

Good Book Reviews: 4/5
I simply love returning to Pat Henshaw’s world of
the Foothills Pride series, where a community in Sierra Foothills near San
Francisco is the location for a small group of gay men to settle and call home.
If you’ve been reading the Foothills Pride series
this is another satisfying instalment. If you’ve not read the books, while this
reads well as a standalone, I think it would be nice to go back and read the
first three – if not for anything else you get to read about other charming
characters such as Fredi, Max, Jimmy and Guy.

Book Reviews: 5 double fudge brownie/5
It is no secret that I love this series, I have
loved the guys of Foothills Pride from day one, and I knew I would love this
book too, and boy did I! Pat Henshaw outdid herself on this one!
Love
Bytes: 4 1/2/5
I loved the continuing tale of Stone Acres and how
these two men fit in with the other men and background characters we’ve met in
previous stories. I really feel like
Stone Acres, California is a real place, and I could stop by and visit.
I would highly recommend you pick up this
series. The novellas could probably be
read as standalones, but take my advice, read them in order.
I highly recommend this book, and the entire
series. Enjoy.
Joyfully
Jay: 3 1/2/5
Overall, this was a nice addition to a great
series. While not my favorite of the series, I got a chance to meet back up
with some of my old favorites. If you are a fan of this series, you don’t want
to miss this one.
Boy
Meets Boy Reviews: 3 ½ /4
On the other hand, I enjoyed the plot of Adam
trying to reestablish himself in the town he grew up in. I liked the quirky
drama and the way it was resolved. The overall story was promising, and I
enjoyed it.
Oh
My Shelves: 3 1/2 / 4
Seeing David and Adam work together, to learn how
to be with one another after being apart and yet having the history they do
between them was bittersweet. I kept wanting them to give in and do more than
just lie on a bed while mattress shopping, I wanted these to heal and be
together again.
Jessie
G. Books: 3.75 / 5
…ultimately, I liked Adam and Jason/David. I like
that they found each other again and were able to love each other again…
Making
It Happen: 3.5 / ?
This is the first book I've read by Pat Henshaw,
and I'll definitely be reading more by this author in the future. When Adam Fell is a good, quick read and is a
second chance romance.
It’s breezy and shiny with a “we’ll conquer their
town!” spirit that’s just a shade light. I’m always happy to see bullies and
bigots get shafted, and you can expect that happens here.

Great Review of Blame It on the Fruitcake!
Danielle gives an in-depth review of Blame It on the Fruitcake at Love Bytes today. She gets the story! As an author it's nice to know when I throw my baby out into the cold, hard world that someone understands the baby's complexity and what I was trying to do in very few words.
Thank you, Danielle!
So, as I'm saying these days, put some AWWWsome in your holiday by buying and reading Blame It on the Fruitcake, which you can get at these online booksellers and wherever eBooks are sold:

Interview Questions and Review
What is your favorite positive saying?
I can. When I was teaching, I told my students that when they told me “I can’t” that they really couldn’t do whatever I assigned. Until they said “I can,” they had already talked themselves out of succeeding. “I can” gave them permission to do something outside their view of themselves.
Also, read the wonderful 4-heart review at the Love Bytes website.
And finally if you'd like to read the book, you can buy it at these online retailers and anywhere eBooks are sold:

Preorder Link Is Here! Yea! Yay!
In the midst of grave family turmoil, I received the PREORDER LINK for the second novella in my Foothills Pride series, Redesigning Max. I can't even begin to express how excited this makes me!And just in case you haven't read the first in the series, What's in a Name?, here are what some reviewers said about it and where you can buy it:
From Love
Bytes Reviews (5 stars):
Pat Henshaw has delivered a wonderful tease! I so want more,
more, more! I absolutely loved this short book and can’t wait for more of the
story.
From MM Good Book Reviews (5 stars):
This is one pretty damn cool and well-written story.
I really enjoyed the pacing and the cast of
characters in this book. This is the type of book you can sit back and just
read without thinking too much.
From The
Novel Approach (5 stars):
This is an absolutely brilliant book. I loved it. Pat
Henshaw has written a very funny novella that gave me a taste of her style and
left me wanting more.
This is such a fun story; I will re-read it often. The MCs
are well developed, and I loved watching them fall in love. It was quick but it
felt good, and I know that I will never be bored with the humor and empathy the
story is told with. Well done, Pat Henshaw, on writing an original story with
lots of room for more. I look forward to the next book in the series.
From Sinfully
Sexy Book Reviews (5 stars):
the witty dialogue, the fun these two men have, the way they
connected, and Guy’s ability to pull out some awesome dates was all so perfect
and written so well.
This book is tucked away in my favorites to pull out when I
need to remember than love can happen for all of us if we look in the right
place.

Jimmy and Guy Take off Again
Join Jimmy
and Guy as they go on the road to visit three blogs and drink coffee with gay
romance readers. Here’s a behind the
scenes look at the two protagonists from What’s in a Name? discussing their
upcoming day:
Jimmy: Got a
big day ahead of us. We’ve got three
places to visit today, so I’ve made an extra thermos of vanilla and chicory French
roast to keep away the chill.
Guy:
Yeah? So where we heading?
Jimmy: Well, first stop is with Love Bytes.
Guy: Oh,
yeah, I remember them. They made us Book
of the Week a couple weeks back or so.
Jimmy:
Actually, our fans made us BoW. And we've
got to thank them. Plus we get to hang
out with Dan again.
Guy: Good!
He’s a real stand-up guy. Gave
our book a really great review.
Jimmy: Yup,
he’s the one. Can’t wait to reconnect with
him. Then we’re off to Bayou Book Junkie, which is why I added the chicory to the coffee.
Guy: Wonder
if they know Pat’s related to a bunch of fun-ass Cajuns outside Opelousas?
Jimmy:
Probably not. But remind me to tell
them. Pat’s going to talk about the
perfect book hero and being a reviewer there.
Guy: Be good
to hang with Pat. I’m not sure
about the chicory, though.
Jimmy: You
don’t have to drink a lot of it, big guy.
Our final stop of the day is at 3 Chicks After Dark.
Guy: Oh,
yeah? And what do three chicks do after
dark?
Jimmy
shrugs: We’ll visit and find out.
